Electromagnetic wave pollution poses threats not only to human health, but also to information security and the operational reliability of precision instruments. Therefore, it is essential to effectively protect against electromagnetic waves and suppress electromagnetic wave radiation and interference. Here, a high-temperature intelligent electromagnetic shielding material is designed by integrating shape memory polyimide with a two-dimensional MXene-based intercalation complex. MXene sheet particles were first etched to enrich their surfaces with –OH, =O, −F, and −Cl polar groups. Conductive polyaniline (PANI) was then intercalated into MXene to obtain Ti3C2Tx@PANI intercalation complexes. The smart composite exhibits high thermal stability, favorable mechanical properties, and excellent flame retardancy. In addition, the electromagnetic shielding efficiency of the smart composite in the X-band exceeds 28 dB, effectively shielding over 99 % of the incident microwaves. It also has excellent shape memory characteristics, with a shape fixation ratio of 96 % and a shape recovery ratio of 97 %. Therefore, it will be applied in cutting-edge technological fields such as electronic appliances, thermal management electromagnetic shielding devices and smart wearable devices.
