Prof. Jinsong Leng and Dr. Liwu Liu attended 54th AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials and Co-located Conferences, they also visitedseveralUS universities and research institutes, including Georgia Washington University, University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Northwestern University.

During 3 weeks in US, Prof. Leng was invited to give several talks including Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (TAM) LectureinNorthwestern University,Minta Martin Lecturein University of Maryland College Park, College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) Distinguished Lecture Series in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and invited talk in Georgia Washington University, National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), University of Maryland Baltimore County and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Prof. Leng also discussed potential collaboration with some colleagues of those universities, they hope that in the future it can establish research partnerships between Harbin Institute Technology and those universities.
