Biography

 

Lu Jian, Academician: National Academy of Technologies of France, chair professor of mechanical engineering of city university of Hong Kong, Vice-President (Research and Technology) and Dean of Graduate Studies. His research interests involve the preparation and mechanical properties of advanced structure and functional nanomaterials, and the simulation design of mechanical system. He has served as senior research engineer and laboratory leader of the French machinery industry technology center (CETIM). At present, academician Lu Jian has obtained 23 patents (including 6 PCT extension patents). In addition, there are more than 340 papers published in SCI journals such as Science, Nature Materials, Materials Today, Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, PRL, Acta Materialia, JMPS and other SCI journals. In 2011, he was elected as academician of the French national academy of technical sciences (NATF), the first ethnic Chinese of nearly 300 academicians of the academy.
