Biography
Professor. Weidong Zhu from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, gave a talk at the Center for Smart Materials and Structures (CSMS).
He earned a PH.D degree in Mechanical Engineering, University of California at Berkeley, 1994. an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Arizona State University, 1988. and a Dual B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 1986. Now, he held the Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
His research interests include the fields of dynamics, vibration, control, applied mechanics, and structural health monitoring, and integrates analytical development, numerical simulation, experimental validation, and industrial application.
