Prof. Jinsong Leng and Dr. Jian Sun attended the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE), which was held from November 11–17, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ, USA.This conference is being financially sponsored by ASME. Prof. Leng gave a 105 min PlenaryTalk about “Opportunities and Challenges in Aerospace Applications of Smart Materials and Structures: from Mechanics, Materials to Structures”. More than 2300 researchers and scientistsattended in this annual event. It was our great honor to have breakfast together with Prof. Stephen Tsai from Stanford University in Sheraton Grand Phoenix.
