Biography
Associate Prof. Fang Xie obtained her Master's degree in Materials Science (2011) and PhD degree in Solid Mechanics (2016) from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China. From 2014 to 2015, she worked at University of Akron in USA as an international cooperation scholar. Now, she is the chairwoman of the department of Smart Materials and Structures at School of Materials Science and Engineering in HIT at Weihai, China.
Her research interests are focused on smart materials and structures, including design, synthesis and application research of shape memory polymers, self-healing polymers, supramolecular elastomers and their multifunctional composites. Dr. Xie has published over 30 scientific papers in journals and conference proceedings and has been authorized with more than 10 invention patents and software copyrights.
