Prof.  Long Lin is the Head of the School of Chemistry, University of Leeds.  He received his BSc (Zhejiang University), MSc (Zhejiang) and PhD  (University of Leeds) in Polymer and Colour Chemistry. He is the Founder  and Directorof DP Centre of Industrial Collaboration,and the Technical  Expertof China Association of Dyeing and Printing Industries, Beijing.

The  research fields of Prof. Long Lin contain  Medical diagnostic  biosensors, ultra-thin lithium ion batteries, inkjet printing,  electrophotography, coatings/inks formulations, polymer materials  science, formulation and delivery of complex, functional fluids,  anti-counterfeit technology, dyes and pigments chemistry, textile  coloration, photochromism, thermochromism, organic printed electronics,  organic and polymer synthesis, renewable energy (particularly perpetual  hydrogen generation via photosynthesis)
