Biography
Prof.  Marcelo. J. Dapino received his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in  Engineering Mechanics, 1999. Now, he is Professor of Department of  Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, The Ohio State University (OSU),  USA. And the Honda R&D Americas Designated Chair in Engineering. He  also is the Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME. His  research interests include: Combine fundamental and applied aspects of  mechanics of materials, vibrations, mechatronics, and system design;  Design, characterization, modeling, and control of dynamic systems based  on smart materials; Smart materials such as piezoelectric,  magnetostrictive, shape memory, and active polymers; Ultrasonic additive  manufacturing of smart structures; Automotive and aerospace  applications of smart materials.
